| Kumho tyres confirmed to be on top in Formula 3 and Formula Abarth even with the new race format featuring three races |
07/05/2012 - Kumho tyres exclusively supplied to the Italian Formula 3 Championship and to the Italian Formula ACI-CSAI Abarth Championship are meeting the appreciation of team and drivers also in this initial part of the season where, for the first time, three races are held instead of the traditional two, but with unaffected number of new tyres sets available to each driver that is still fix to three has in the case of the past seasons. In the round of Budapest, valid for the European Series, Kumho Motorsports Italy made available to the competing teams 260 Kumho S700 slick and 250 Kumho W700 rain tyres for a total of 510 tyres. Emilio Colzani (Responsabile Kumho Motorsports Italia): "Despite the features of the tyres given to Formula 3 and Formula Abarth teams did not change from last year, Kumho tyres are offering a constancy of performance and linearity of wear that is really appreciated in the paddock. Budapest has been a particularly severe test due to its abrasive tarmac and we are very satisfied on giving our contribution to an event that brought more than 40.000 people on grand stands". |
